Rishi Kapoor gets furious over young stars for not attending Vinod Khanna's funeral

Rishi Kapoor is known to never hold back when it comes to expressing his mind - particularly since he's become active on Twitter. The actor recently took to his social media account to express his displeasure over the lack of attendance from younger generation of Bollywood celebs at actor Vinod Khanna's funeral ceremony.



However, when questioned about the absence of his wife and son Ranbir Kapoor, he replied back saying, ”Yes it has been expressed earlier on social media my wife and Ranbir are out of the country. Would never had been reason not to be there,”

In a series of tweets, an apparently angered Kapoor, strongly criticized the 'no-show' by most of the major young Bollywood stars. Those in attendance, included Khanna's former co-star Amitabh Bachchan along with son Abhishekh Bachchan, Dia Mirza, Randeep Hooda, Randhir Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Subhash Ghai among a few others.

An infuriated Kapoor tweeted, “Shameful. Not ONE actor of this generation attended Vinod Khanna’s funeral. And that too he has worked with them. Must learn to respect. Why this? Including mine and thereafter.When I die, I must be prepared.None will shoulder me. Very very angry with today’s so called stars.”

He also went on to comment on how several people showed up to party thrown by actress Priyanka Chopra instead, “Angry. Met so many chamcha people last night at Priyanka Chopra’s do last night. Few at Vinod’s. So fu**n transparent. So angry with them,”

Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna acted in a number of successful movies during the peak of their careers, most notable of them were "Amar, Akbar, Anthony" and "Chandni."

Vinod Khannna, passed away this Thursday, after years of battle with advanced bladder carcinoma (cancer). He was 70.
