Aamir Khan's Dangal gets a release in China. Set to break the record of PK.

After almost 6 months of it's worldwide release, Aamir Khan starrer 'Dangal' has finally ventured into China to add more numbers to its already whopping collections.

Dangal opened with great numbers in the Chinese market with the First day collection of 15 crores on Friday. Aamir Khan's previous blockbuster, 'PK', was the first Indian movie to cross the 100 crore mark in China, so he does have a strong following in the country to rely on. Dangal has not only opened in double number of theaters in China as compared to PK, but it's first day collection is also twice as much.

Though the Chinese government restricts the number of foreign movies that can release in the country to 34, most of that quota is taken up by Hollywood ventures, with India's number being fixed at 4. Despite that fact, Aamir's previous two movies, 3 Idiots and PK, have managed to strike gold in the Chinese box office.

Dangal is the third top grossing movie in Indian movie history, with a worldwide collection of 730 crores. The biographical sport-drama shows Khan portraying wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, and is the story of how he nourished and groomed his daughters to crowning glory in the sport of wrestling.

At the 62nd Filmfare awards, Dangal swept in 3 major categories including 'Best Film', 'Best Actor' for Aamir and 'Best Director' for Nitesh Tiwari. The film also won an award in the 'Best Action' category.

The opening day collection in China show a good sign for Dangal, which might soon surpass, "PK" in lifetime gross as it crosses more milestones in the Chinese market.

With Baahubali 2 already breaking several records in the Box Office by grossing over 900 crores within a week and Dangal attempting to reach the 1000 crore mark with it's run on international markets, it sure is a great time for Indian cinema.
