Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan return together to the big-screen after sixteen years

Keh diya Na? Bas Keh diya!

Remember the last time you saw Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan together in a movie?

Yep! It was back in the year 2000 you saw this iconic pair together in the Karan Johar directed multi-starrer family drama, "Kabhi Khushi, Kabhi Gham."

The duo are set to appear together on screen after a long gap of sixteen years. According to sources, the legendary couple is going to be featured in a Shoojit Sircar directed venture playing an ageing married couple.

DNA quoted a source as saying, “It’s the story of a couple married for 40 years, and now sharing old age together. Both of them are approaching their end. Their fear is not death. Their fear is, what happens if either goes before the other?”

The golden couple of Bollywood got married back in 1973, during the peak of their respective careers and went on to feature together in classics like Chupke Chupke, Silsila, Mili, Bawarchi, Abhimaan, Sholay among several other movies during the 70's and 80's, with their last joint venture being K3G, some 16 years ago.

Reportedly it took Sircar 3-4 years to convince the couple to sign-in for the venture as they weren't convinced with the scripts offered to them before.

It would be epic to see the powerhouse couple appear together in a movie again after their last iconic big-screen pairing in K3G.
