The incident occurred a day before the actual wedding ceremony of the 33 year old man, who the woman claimed to have been in a relationship with.

The accused woman was enraged with her boyfriend of 6 years for marrying another woman without giving any explanation to her. The victim first lodged an FIR on Sunday after the woman allegedly put his two-wheeler on fire first. "While the probe was on, he arrived with another complaint on Wednesday, claiming that someone had set his marriage pandal on fire, just a day before the wedding," said inspector Vijaysinh Gaikwad.

The accused was later arrested on Thursday from Dattanagar and is sent for police remand until May 20. Confessing her crime, the woman stated that the man had been in a relationship with her for over 6 years and had promised to marry her, however when he later decided to marry another woman - it instigated the woman to commit the crime.

The incident occurs only a few days after it was recently reported that another woman from Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh, abducted her former lover at gun-point right from the middle of his wedding ceremony with another woman.
