There are plenty of celebrities in Hollywood who have adopted names which aren't really their's to begin with but which represent them better as artists. Usually happens when it is decided that their real names are not glamorous or catchy enough for the industry, or if they choose to reflect their artistry with a name that might sound more suitable for their 'stage-image' - a la - Lady GaGa.
