Sex, nudity and violence: Ram Gopal Varma's trailer for 'Guns n Thighs' shocks the internet.

For the past couple of years, the only thing Ram Gopal Varma has been in news for are his out-of-the-box, and pretty much out-of-the-line comments on social media, filled with sexism, racism and transphobia.

But that's not what RGV became famous for in the first place. At the height of his career, the filmmaker was one his kinds, to have brought realistic cinema to the fore in mainstream Bollywood with movies like Company, Satya and Rangeela.

The 55 year old director seems to be putting his concentration in the right place now as he attempts to toughen up his filmmaking game even further in an upcoming web series entitled, 'Guns & Thighs.'

The National Award winning filmmaker has gone where few other filmmakers have ventured in the web-series, as can be seen from it's official trailer launched on YouTube on the 26th of May.

Filled with nudity, sex, violence and loads of profane language - the trailer is such a shocker - that when the filmmaker showed it to actor Amitabh Bachchan, he immediately disapproved of it and warned him not to go ahead with it.

The series deals with the subject of underworld mafia of Mumbai and lacking criminal justice system - a subject that has been a favorite with the director, as seen throughout his career in movies like Satya, Shool, Company, D - to name only a few.

But the shocking part about the trailer is the language and display of fully nude women, without any camera tricks to cover their breasts. Nevertheless, fans seem appreciative of the fact that the director is back to doing what he does best.

Ram Gopal Varma said on Twitter that the reason for him to venture into the world of web series is because it allows him to express and expose the complete reality without worrying about the Censor Board. "A web series allows an exponential and existential form of story telling which a time and censor restricted medium can never allow," he wrote on one of his Tweets.

It would be worth seeing if the series, lives up to the hype it has already generated over the web.
