Jay Z's latest album 4:44 certified platinum within 5 days of release!

Rap mogul Jay Z is truly a game-changer.

The 21-time Grammy award winner, who released his fourteenth studio album - 4:44, on the 30th of June, has already crossed the 1 million mark in sales and/or streams with his highly anticipated studio project.

The legendary rapper has achieved this feat within merely five days of the album's release - receiving a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) - making it one of the fastest platinum-certified album of the year.

4:44 has been released for online streaming on Tidal before it actually hits the shelves. However, the actual numbers in sales are not out yet, it shouldn't come as a surprise if the LP debuts with the biggest numbers of 2017.

Produced under Jay Z's 2008-founded label, Roc Nation, the album features collaborations with Frank Ocean, Damian Marley, BeyoncĂ© and Jay-Z's mother, Gloria Carter
