Alright.
So, we announced yesterday that Christina Aguilera has stepped-in to perform at the Whitney Houston cum The Bodyguard tribute at the 2017 American Music Awards.
Marking the 25th anniversary of Whitney’s iconic 1992-released soundtrack album, Christina will be honoring the late legend with a medley of songs featured on the Grammy-winning, best-selling LP.
Since, the exact set of songs constituting the medley have not been revealed yet, fans have been speculating about what Aguilera might bring to the table – which makes for a perfect discussion for us.
So, should it be ‘Run To You’ – a song the 36 year old singer performed back in 2001 while honoring Houston at the annual BET awards? Or should she work her chops a little harder to pull off the iconic lead track from the LP, ‘I Will Always Love You’?
Interestingly, Aguilera also “duetted” with a virtual imagery of Houston as created through a Hologram for The Voice. Although, the airing of the performance was cancelled, the footage of Aguilera, bursting out her lungs, attempting to belt ‘I Have Nothing’ and ‘I’m Every Woman’ – did end up going viral on several social media outlets.
So you have your choices layed down in front of you. Now, its time for you to vote.
