Priyanka Chopra without question is the most widely recognized Indian actress at this point.

The former beauty queen, who has achieved a number of milestones since her foray into American television with her debut role in 'Quantico', keeps on going places where few other Indian actors have gone.

After being awarded two back to back 'People's Choice awards' for her role in her popular TV series and making her big-screen Hollywood debut alongside Dwayne Johnson in 'Baywatch', the actress will now be seen as one of the official presenters of this year's Oscar announcement ceremony.

Joining co-hosts/presenters Rosario Dawson, Rebel Wilson and Michelle Rodriguez, Priyanka seems to have already shot her part of event - a few 'behind the scenes' shots of which were shared on the Academy's official Instagram handle.

The official announcment of nominees for the Academy awards is done in a seperate setting, each year prior to the actual ceremony. This year's announcment will be made on Tuesday, 5:22 AM PST while the 90th Academy award will be held on March 4th.

Priyanka previously had the opportunity to grace the Oscar-stage back in the year 2000, when she presented the award for 'Best Editing' alongside Liev Schreiber.

Unlike our desi awards where basically any sponsor, relative, attendee can come up on stage to create a 'tamasha' or where being nominated is treated like a compensation for not winning against the pre-decided winners, getting up on the Oscar-stage to present an award or to even get an official invitation to attend the ceremony is quite an honor as it is done only if you have achieved something substantial or relevant in the year being awarded.

So congratulations to PeeCee!!
