France’s ‘Spider Man’ saves dangling boy from falling, while father was busy playing Pokemon Go

In a heroic yet shocking incident from France’s capital Paris, a 22 year old man saved a boy dangling from a four story balcony, who was about to fall hanging to the very edge.

Mamoudou Gassamna, a 22 year old Mali immigrant, became a worldwide hero when the video of his heroic rescue got posted on twitter on May 26th.

Mamoudou scaled the four story building in just 30 seconds, as soon as he witnessed the little kid hanging off the balcony – only moment away from falling down. He is now being regarded as France’s very own – ‘Spider Man’.

It is inspiring to think how the man didn’t think about his life once and scaled the building without any fear, to save the boy.

France has now offered citizenship to the Mali immigrant for his brave and selfless action.

Interestingly, the story does not end there. Police was also investing the entire scene to find – how the Kid ended up dangling from the balcony in the first place.

The investigations showed that the kid was all alone at his house as his father had gone out to the market to buy some groceries and his mother was out of the town for some time.

French prosecutor Francois Mollins told ABC news –

“He took a long time to return home because he had decided to play the smartphone game ‘Pokémon Go’ when he left the store”

On account of leaving his kid alone at home, the father has been arrested for ‘negligence’ and is now pending a trial for the same. If found guilty, the man could land in prison for up to 2 years.

As for the Gassamna, his days of turning into a local celebrity have only just begun.

Not all heroes wear capes!
