Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin is said to be in an alarming health situation as online reports state that the iconic songstress is ‘gravely ill’.
The legendary vocalist and songwriter, Aretha, who’s 76, is presently surrounded by her near and dear ones at her bedside in her Detroit home.
Battling her prolonged health ailments which seem to have taken a toll on her, Ree is being comforted by her family who’re now seeking prayers for her.
The news has been released by veteran entertainment journalist, Roger Freidmann, who wrote the following on his Showbiz 411 Column:
“Aretha is surrounded by family and people close to her. She will be so missed as a mother, sister, friend, cousin.”But her legacy is larger than life. It’s not just that Rolling Stone called her the number 1 singer of all time, or that she is the Queen of Soul. Long live the Queen.”
