It was only a matter of time when someone came up with a musical homage for one of the most inspiring voices in soul music and Ariana Grande already seems to have stepped-up on it.
The 25 year old vocalist, who like many, has been inspired from Franklin’s soaring nearly-four octave vocal range performed a slowed-down melancholic version of ‘Natural Woman’ on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Grande was there to promote her latest album ‘Sweetner’ and took the opportunity to tribute Franklin in a heartfelt, emotional performance:
