Cardi B Earns Her Third #1 on Billboard Hot 100, as her Maroon 5 Collab Rockets to the Top!

Cardi B is writing history like no other female rapper before.

After breaking the nearly two-decade long dry spell, the former reality TV star made history by scoring a solo #1 with her breakthrough single, ‘Bodak Yellow’ – a first for a solo female hip-hop artist, since Lauryn Hill’s ‘Doo-Wop (That Thing).’

Just when people thought, that would be a ‘one-time-wonder’ for the no-hold-barred rapper, she scored yet another #1 with ‘I Like It’ back in June, 2018.

The quirky performer has now rocketed to the top of the charts for the third time, with her latest collaboration with Maroon 5, ‘Girls Like You.’

The song, featured on the band’s sixth studio album, was released back in May with an accompanying music video featuring B.

With this, Cardi has yet again created history as the first and only female hip-hop artist with three Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers to her name!

The recent news about both Maroon 5 and Cardi being speculated as the front-runners for Super Bowl 2019 half-time show, may certainly have had a role in pushing the song to the top spot, after it had already spent six weeks in the number 2 position.

Exciting times ahead for Cardi and her fans!
