Rapper and producer Mac Miller has died from an apparent drug overdose.
The Pittsburgh-born musician was found unconscious at his San Fernando home on Friday noon by law enforcement, after a male friend of his placed a call to 911. He was pronounced dead on the spot.
Mac had been struggling from substance abuse for a long while and was recently arrested for DUI, after he smashed his vehicle around a utility pole back in May.
Miller’s biggest charting song was, ‘The Way’ which featured him along side Ariana Grande. The two were also famously in a relationship with lasted for nearly two years from August 2016 to May 2018.
Grande had previously stated that his prolonged substance addiction was one of the factors behind their split-up.
Mac was scheduled to start a tour in two months.
He was 26.
