Watch: Rare Footage Shows the Horrifying Aftermath of 9/11 Attack

A new restored version of a horrifying clipping shows the intense immediate impact of the tragic 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The footage by Mark LaGanga has been remastered and restored with a better audio and visual, detailing the heartbreaking aftermath of one of the greatest terrorist tragedies to have struck the world.

As the 17th anniversary of the attacks approaches, the restored version uploaded on 31st of August, 2018 by WTCFOIAVideos has yet again reminded people of how the world stood still, and in solidarity with the United States on the fateful day of the attack and how great it’s impact was. The clip has already been viewed over 933,00o times at the time of writing this.

The raw and gritty footage documented the immediate aftermath of the attacks from the nearby surroundings of the very spot, as firefighters and other emergency service personnel attempted to rescue and bring people to safety, while humongous dust clouds covered the entire sky and the debris from the collapsed towers scattered all around.

The footage was taken by LaGanga who worked for CBS at that time.

Even after so many years, the magnitude of the attacks as captured on the visual above seems too surreal to believe.

1,642 died on the attack, while nearly 1,100 still remain unaccounted for.
