Just Like the Iconic Scene from ‘The Lion King’, Monkey Holds Baby Up in the Air!

One of the most iconic scenes from Disney’s 1994 released classic, The Lion King was when Rafiki holds up little Simba in the air and showcases the newborn future king of the Pride Lands to the entire jungle kingdom.

Now, without getting myself into thinking too much about the movie and possibly ending up crying, I’m going to share a beautiful life-imitating-art example of this powerful scene from the Don Hahn-produced masterpiece.

Photographer Dafna Ben Nun shared an image, straight out of the African wildlife in its natural habitat, in which a baboon monkey re-created ‘THE’ moment, by lifting his little newborn up in the air.

See it for yourself:

Nun, who was in Zimbabwe to film the local wildlife there, managed to capture the very moment the duo reenacted the ‘Circle Of Life’ routine.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw an adult baboon holding a baby, looking exactly like Simba in the Lion King. It was just a split second, but it was fascinating to watch!” Dafna was quoted telling Mail Online.

Have to binge-watch the Lion King series after this. Sorry, can’t help.
