Ariana Grande Named ‘Woman Of The Year’ By Billboard

Ariana Grande – who kicked off 2018 with new music from her fourth studio album, ‘Sweetner’ and has had been talked as much for her personal roller-coasters throughout the year, has been named ‘Woman Of The Year’ by Billboard.

The ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ singer, will be joining the likes of Beyonce, P!nk, Madonna and Lady Gaga among others, who have previously been bestowed with the honor.

The award willbe handed over during Billboard’s annual ‘Women In Music’ ceremony which is set to take place on the 6th of Decmber in New York City.

Here is what Ross Scarano, the publication’s Content Vice President was quoted telling while announcing Grande’s win:

“Ariana Grande is a star on her own terms, never bending to any particular musical trend or path in the industry. Certain in her convictions, she consistently stands up for herself and her decisions in a world that often isn’t hospitable to that sort of strength in young women. She’s got guts, she’s making some of the best music of her career, and she’s absolutely deserving of Woman of the Year.”
