Ariana Grande Slips, Cries and Soars Through Her Spirited First Performance of ‘Thank You, Next!’

The first performance of Ariana Grande’s new song, ‘Thank You, Next’, which is supposed to be sort of an ode to all her past relationships, was as full of life and up’s n down’s as the song itself.

The 25 year old singing sensation took to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and gave a heartfelt performance of her latest single, despite things getting a bit ‘trippy’ towards the beginning.

Grande, whose personal life was yet again in news for her recent breakup with estranged fiance Pete Davidson, took inspiration from The First Wives Club’s final sequence – to create a backdrop to her performance.

But soon as she got down from the chair after pulling off a ‘Goldie Hawn’ (TFWC fans will know), her heels sort of slipped on the floor and she exclaimed ‘Oh My God’ before giggling her way through the chorus.

But Grande continued without missing too many of the notes, only to face the bridge of the song and nearly getting choked-up with emotions while singing the lines – “One day I’ll walk down the aisle/Holding hands with my mama/I’ll be thanking my dad/’Cause she grew from the drama” – and eventually ending-up delivering one of her best performances of the ‘Sweetener’ era.
