After announcing the complete tracklist from her upcoming 15th studio album, ‘Caution’ earlier this week, Mariah Carey released yet another single, ‘A No No’ from her much anticipated LP.
The songstress samples Jeff Lorber’s 1970’s song – ‘The Rain,’ and attempts to build a smooth flow through the track, which eventually doesn’t sound too different from her recent offerings.
Like most MC tracks in the recent past, the vocals and the overall production seem to have a ‘synth-sound’ to it, quite unlike the ‘classic Mariah sound’ – if that’s what you were expecting.
But it wouldn’t be be far to go far back, as Carey’s place in music is already sealed with her back-catalog.
But how does the song fair against her previous two singles – ‘GTFO’ and ‘With You’ from the LP?
