Nipsey Hussle’s Brother Talks About Performing CPR On Him, ‘I Just Wish I Would’ve Been There’

Nipsey Hussle’s brother, Samiel Asghedom, is opening up about the final moments before the rapper breathed his last.

Samiel was with Nipsey in South Los Angeles after the senseless shooting took place, gunning down the 33 year old, leaving him in a bloody state.

In an interview with Los Angeles Times, Samiel detailed how he rushed out of his grandmother’s house as soon as he got a call about the shooting, reaching Marathon Clothing store, where Nipsey was still breathing.

Samiel remembers how he attempted to save his brother’s life by performing CPR on him as per instructions from a 911 operator on the phone. From pushing his chest to trying to pump some air into his lungs, Samiel attempted to keep his brother conscious until paramedics arrived and inserted an air tube down the rapper’s throat, escorting him on a stretcher.

It wasn’t until Nipsey was lifted in the air by paramedics that Samile noticed the gunshot on the back of the rapper’s head. By the time Asghedom arrived at the hospital, Hussle had already passed.

“I know who he is. I’m a fan. I respect what he was doing in the community. We tried our hardest.”

Nipsey’s family is now planning a grand memorial, with a venue that can accommodate as many as 15,000 people.
