After much anticipation, Jennifer Hudson’s first look from the upcoming Aretha Franklin biopic is out and it has got us all excited.
The Oscar winning actress and singer has stepped into the shoes of the late Queen of Soul for the first major big-screen adaptation of her story – in what may be considered her biggest movie role since Dreamgirls.
The highly anticipated new flick also stars the likes of Mary J. Blige, Forest Whitaker and Marlon Wayans and should be up for release in mid-2020.
Meanwhile, a few shots from the sets of the movie featuring Hudson’s physical transformation have stormed the internet and they’ve got us all buzzing.
