Considered the top category from the event, this years's Artist Of The Year nominees include Bruno Mars - whose recent album 24K Magic and the assisting singles have been all over the radio this past year. The 'Versace On The Floor' crooner also boasts of the biggest number of nominations this year - with a total of 8 nods, including Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist and Favorite Pop/Rock Album.
Bruno is joined in the category by Canadian rapping superstar Drake, who in 2017 alone, has had a total of 6 Top 40 and 2 Top 10 hits on the charts. The rapper's 3 month 'Summer Sixteen' tour in 2016, was deemed the highest grossing tour in hip-hop history.
Joining Drake and Bruno is the EDM-pop production duo, The Chainsmokers who boast of 2 Top 10 hits in 2017, and the biggest hit of 2016 - 'Closer.'
Kendrick Lamar and Ed Sheeran wind up the category - both of whom have produced platinum-selling and critically acclaimed LP's during the first half of the year. Sheeran also boasts of having one of the most commercially successful singles of the year, with 'Shape Of You' - which has managed to top the singles charts in 44 countries, including the United States.
