Akshay Kumar's latest offering entitled, "Pad Man" sees him star as Arunachalam Muruganatham, the notorious self-made entrepreneur - whose zeal and passion to work towards providing a better hygienic alternatives for his wife's menstruation turned him into a prominent manufacturer of low-cost sanitary pads, with over 23 pad making plants and machines installed across India.

Kumar's take on the subject, portrayed with his own witty charm and charisma, is the stuff of the kind of crowd-pullers that turned his previous socio-political comedy-dramas into major blockbusters.

The immensely talented Radhika Apte is seen stepping in the shoes of Muruganatham's wife, while Sonam Kapoor also takes on a pivotal role in this R. Balki directed true story.
