Putting aside 'nepotism' accusations, Karan Johar pens note for aspiring star-kids, Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter

Often accused of 'Nepotism', Karan Johar has penned a letter of encouragement for upcoming star-kids (or kids of stars - whatever you want to call them) - Janhvi Kapoor (Sridevi's daughter) and Ishaan Khattar (Shahid Kapoor's brother).

Both Janhvi and Ishaan are set to make their Bollywood debut with a Karan Johar production entitled, 'Dhadak' which is said to be an adaptation of the acclaimed Marathi film - Sairat.

Offering some word of advice to the duo, before the launch of their movie, KJo read a note on his show "Calling Karan" on 104.8 Ishq FM on Monday and here is what it said:

"It's a new year which means new beginnings and time for new relationship goals... Dear Janhvi and Ishaan, you are going to embark on a new journey of stardom this year. You will face many firsts in 2018 from promotion to paparazzi to link-ups and trolling to fame and failures. You are going to see it all."

He further added:

"Through all of this, I just want to remind you to not take yourself too seriously and absorb every new experience because these initial days will never come back again. Janhvi, Ishaan your best qualities are that you all are still students. That you both really stand by your beliefs and the fact that you really don't take yourself as seriously as I sometimes think you should. I love the fact that you are still vulnerable and innocent, please hold onto that."

Despite all the criticism that has come his way for being partial to 'outsiders' and favoring "star kids", KJo has no qualms in unabashedly continuing his role as the "official launcher" of celeb kins.

Aah, well. We're not going to complain as long as they have the chops to pull it off.

What say you?
