Actress Sridevi passes away at the age of 54

In a shocking and devastating news coming from Dubai, actress Sridevi has passed away at the age of 54.

The celebrated superstar has breathed her last in Dubai after suffering from a cardiac arrest as being stated in the early reports.

Although, not much has been revealed about the circumstances of her death, it is being said that the actress was traveling abroad to participate in a family function where she suffered and succumbed to a heart attack. 

Married to renowned film producer, Boney Kapoor, Sridevi was freshly celebrating her second innings in Bollywood, after going into a hiatus post her marriage during the late 90's.

The actress had a promising start with more projects lined-up ahead of her after her triumphant return to the big-screen with the Gauri Shinde directed - 'English Vinglish' back in 2012. 






Sridevi's last feature film - 'Mom' was lauded by both critics and audiences alike - yielding her a Filmfare nomination in the 'Best Actress' category.

Cited by many as one of the biggest female superstars of her era, Sridevi has worked in a variety of memorable classics like 'Judai', 'Chaalbaaz', 'Sadma', 'Roop Ki Raani Choro Ka Raja', 'Mr India', 'English Vinglish' and many more.

She also worked in a vast list of films made in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movie industries - where she made a significant mark for herself.

It comes as an utter shock that we now have to bid farewell to an actress who has been a significant part of our childhoods while growing up watching Bollywood movies.
