Amitabh Bachchan is a name synonym to 'longevity'. The 75 year old superstar and celebrated icon has lasted longer than most people who set foot in the movie industry can imagine.

Making his debut with the film "Saat Hindustani" released back in 1969, the National award winner has acted in over 190 movies in a career spanning nearly 5 decades.

Tasting success with the early releases of his career, Big B had already worked in memorable cinematic pieces like 'Anand' (1971). 'Reshma Aur Shera' (1971) and 'Sanjog' (1972). But it was the 1972 released - "Bombay to Goa" (1972) which increased his star status to another level, establishing him as a 'mainstream hero' in the industry, following which he never really looked back.

The legendary star - who's presently shooting for 'Thugs of Hindostan', is also known for being vastly active on all of his social media handles - where he constantly updates his fans and admirers about all that he's upto. From sharing poems, inspirational quotes to posting his old throwback pictures, Big B is one of the most followed Indian personalities on Twitter.

The 'Sarkar Raj' actor recently shared old pictures of his young self which he had sent for a job application back then and they are certain to take you down the memory lane.

Big B captioned one of the images with "And this is the picture I sent to join the Film Industry .. no wonder they rejected me"

Although Big B was rejected from both the job applications, but he certainly never gave up pursuing his dream of working in the film industry and establishing himself as a leading star of his time.

And the rest as they say - is history.
