Cricketer Ravinder Jadeja's wife beaten in public by Jamnagar constable

Team India and Chennai Super King's superstar all rounder Ravinder Jadeja's wife Riva Solanki was allegedly 'Physically assaulted' by a male constable at Jamnagar, Gujarat on Monday.

The incident revolves around a small road mishap at the Saru section road in Jamnagar, in which Riva solanki's BMW came into a minor collision with constable Sanjay Ahir's two-wheeler - according to eye witnesses.

The constable got so angry over the collision that he is said to have physically assaulted Riva and thrashed her in public. According to Vijay Singh Chavda - one of the eyewitnesses of the incident, Riva literally had to be rescued from the clutches of the constable as he dragged her out of the car and started beating her. 

"The Policman mercilessly thrashed Riva and even pulled her hair during an altercation. We saved her from his clutches," Chavda told reporters.

The constable has since been detained by the police over the incident.






"The alleged incident occured at Saru section road in Jamnagar when Riva Jadeja's car allegedly hit the motorcycle of the constable who attacked her," Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sejul told media reporters.

"The policeman physically assaulted Riva Jadeja after her car hit his motorbike. We are providing all possible help to her and will take strict action against the policeman," he added.

R. Jadeja is currently with the CSK squad and preparing for the IPL playoffs in which they are next scheduled to play against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday.
