Here are all the movies that have won the 'Best Film' award at Filmfare from 1954 to present

Filmfare awards are the longest running movie awards in India alongside the National Film awards - both of which have been going on for over 60 years now.

Although it is sort of disheartening to think about the "not-so-transparent" process of choosing their awardees and the many questionable choices of winners and nominees over the years, the glamorous and glitzy annual ceremony of awarding "the best in cinema" has been going on since the year 1954 and has been respected for its longevity and history.

Every year, since its inception in the year 1954, the 'Best Film' award has been given to the most popular movies that have generally had both a commercial and critical impact, with classics like 'Mother India', 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' and 'Lagaan' being recognized in the category over the years.

Starting from the very first win in the prime category - Bimal Roy's 'Do Beegha Zameen' up until its most recent winner - the Irrfan Khan starrer 'Hindi Medium', a total of 62 movies have been forever etched in history after being awarded in the category.

Counting down these 62 - rather debatable winners, check out all the movies that have ever won the 'Best Film' Filmfare award over the years (some of these might actually take you by surprise):

Which out of these 62 'Best Film' winners has been the most deserving of the honor and which one has been the least deserving?

Weigh-in below....
