Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming Sanjay Dutt biopic, 'Sanju' has garnered almost as much flak and controversy as praise.

The highly anticipated drama, which features Ranbir Kapoor pulling off the role of Sanjay Dutt - in an attempt to sum-up the controversial actor's life on celluloid, has been the most talked-about movie of the month - and it is still a few weeks away from release.

Although majority of the people have been praising Ranbir for his acting chops, going by the first trailer of the flick, there are also those who just can't see anyone else apart from Dutt himself, in those shoes.

After Salman Khan, had recently pointed out how only Sanjay Dutt himself could have pulled off playing himself in the most recent chapter of the story, Arshad Warsi too has chimed in to share similar thoughts.

Warsi, who's career was basically given a second life after he starred alongside Sanjay in the Munna Bhai series, expressed that despite all the efforts to 'imitate' Sanju, no one can really 'become' him.

“Obviously, because Sanju is Sanju. No matter what you do, you cannot be Sanju! You can't be the original. The way Sanju walks and talks; an actor can only imitate. He cannot become Sanju,” Warsi said in a recent interview.

Although Arshad did praise Ranbir's ability to pull of some close-to-life mannerisms resembling the 'Khalnayak' star, it isn't good enough for him and Salman to make the act compelling enough like the 'real deal.'
