The fact that Salman Khan is a free man, despite the number of charges levied against him, isn't easy to swallow for a lot of folks out there. The fact that the case against him for killing an endangered black buck went on for as long as it did, eventually leading to an easy bail-out earlier this year, has not gone down well with the Bishnoi community - who were among the first ones to pull the charge and start the fight against him through a legal course.

It now turns out that Salman has also been on the radar of Lawrence Bishnoi's interstate gang, who had already plotted an attack to have him killed, according to reports.

One of their most noted gangsters, Sampat Nehra, had already planned to lodge an attack on the actor after which he was planning to leave the country immediately. Fatefully though, Nehra has already been nabbed by the police before he could bring his plan to fruition.

DIG of Haryana STF Satheesh Balan was quoted telling the press:

“In the first week of May, Sampat Nehra was in Mumbai and surveyed the house of Salman Khan and the timing when he comes out in the balcony of his house to wave to his fans. He tried to find out the distance to the balcony and had even taken few photographs of the house.”

Nehra was said to be acting upon the instruction of his gang leader - Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently in Jodhpur jail and is reportedly operating his gang the place.

It was earlier in January, when the Bishnoi gang leader had issued a threat against Salman, stating that he will be killed in Jodhpur itself.
