We all miss Irrfan Khan. The actor has been on a hiatus, since his shocking revelation about a rare form of a disorder which required him to travel abroad in pursuit of his treatment.

Battling with neuroendocrine tumours, the actor flew to London taking a break from his ongoing movie-projects and urging his fans and supporters to pray for him, as they remained in a shock and refused to believe it for a while.

The seasoned star, who's now said to be on a road to recovery, has also limited his social media posts - leaving people with only speculations revolving around his health condition and the progress of his treatment.

Months after his hiatus and silence on the issue, since his first announcement of the same, the actor is finally speaking out about the road to his recovery, explaining how painful his battle with the tumours has been.

On a note written for Times Of India, actor described how his treatment was almost like 'trial and error' due to the rarity of the disease.

"It’s been quite some time now since I have been diagnosed with a high-grade neuroendocrine cancer. This new name in my vocabulary, I got to know, was rare, and due to fewer study cases, and less information comparatively, the unpredictability of the treatment was more. I was part of a trial-and-error game."

"The suddenness made me realise how you are just a cork floating in the ocean with UNPREDICTABLE currents! And you are desperately trying to control it." - he added.

Explaining the kind of pain the actor had to endure while his frequent visits to the hospital, he further writes:

"That was my INTENTION. AND THEN PAIN HIT. As if all this while, you were just getting to know pain, and now you know his nature and his intensity. Nothing was working; NO consolation, no motivation. The entire cosmos becomes one at that moment – just PAIN, and pain felt more enormous than GOD."

Also making a special note of all the prayers and positive thoughts that flew in his direction, the celebrated actor wrote:

"Throughout my journey, people have been wishing me well, praying for me, from all over the world. People I know, people I don’t even know. They were praying from different places, different time zones, and I feel all their prayers become ONE. One big force, like a force of current, which got inside me through the end of my spine and has germinated through the crown of my head."

It has certainly been a transformative journey for Khan and we're certainly it isn't just bodily but also something that has changed him from within, as expressed through his profound words about his ordeal.

Get well soon Irrfan. And yes, we'll continue to keep you in our prayers.
