Tina Tuner Underwent Secret Kidney Transplant, Considered “Assisted Suicide”, Reveals New Autobiography!

Tina Turner has been struggling with some major health issues the public may not have known about.

In her new upcoming autobiography ‘Tina Turner: My Love Story’ – the 78 year old singer revealed how she suffered from a kidney disorder some 2 years ago and was offered one for a transplant, by her husband, Erwin Bach.

Turner’s kidneys were operating at only 20%, when Bach offered one of his own kidneys and the singer underwent a transplant after that.

Turner reflects back in her autobiography, stating how Eriwin, “shocked me by saying that he wanted to give me one of his kidneys” and that she was truly “overwhelmed by the enormity of his offer.”

Apparently Turner’s ailment had gotten so bad that the singer had even considered ‘assisted suicide’ before her husband offered her his own kidney. Tina was suggested to be put on dialysis, but she refused to ‘live on a machine.’

A heart-wrenching excerpt from the book, as shared by dailymail, reads:

“I began to think about death. If my kidneys were going, and it was time for me to die, I could accept that. It was OK. When it’s time, it’s really time. I didn’t mind the thought of dying, but I was concerned about how I would go.”

But the iconic singer was saved from such thoughts by her husband, who according her, gave her ‘the ultimate gift — the gift of life itself.’
