Katy Perry's latest album 'Witness' debuts at Number 1 on the Billboard charts

All the controversy surrounding Katy Perry's feud with Taylor Swift seems have to worked for the the former as her latest studio album, 'Witness' has topped the Billboard Top 200 albums charts.

The album has debuted with 180,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week, 162,000 of which are traditional album sales, as reported by Billboard.

This is Katy's third consecutive #1 album on the Billboard charts followed by her previous multi-platinum selling studio projects, Teenage Dream and Prism. This also marks the biggest one week sales by a female artists for this year and the largest since Lady Gaga's Joanne debuted at #1 with selling over 201,000 units back in November 2016, as reported by Billboard.

Katy has managed to rake-in the numbers, despite her rival Taylor Swift releasing her entire back catalog the same day as Perry's album.
