Petty Wars: Taylor Swift to release her back catalog same day as Katy Perry's new album

The feud between Taytay and Kaykay is taking a whole new dimension of petty.

After Katy recently accused Taylor Swift of "assassinating" her charecter and revealed details about her discrepencies with the 'Shake It Off' singer, Swift has responded with the shadiest way possible - by stating release of her entire back catalog to several streaming services on 9 June -  the same day as Katy's upcoming new album, 'Witness.'

Ouch!

In an annoucement released through her management, it was stated that the streaming is being offered as a "gift to her fans" - for her last studio album's enormous success on the charts. “In celebration of 1989 selling over 10 million albums worldwide and the RIAA’s 100 million song certification announcement, Taylor wants to thank her fans by making her entire back catalog available to all streaming services tonight at midnight,” the statement read.

But the fact that it had to come out on the same day as Katy's new album, that too in a time when Katy's going all out in revealing what caused the rift between the two, is perhaps the biggest shade of 2017.

In a recent interview with James Cordan for his Carpool Karaoke, Perry talked about the rift dating back to 2014, when Swift apparently got upset after some of the dancers from her ongoing tour agreed to join Katy Perry on her routine. Swift was so driven on the edge, that she didn't only fire the dancers immediately but also wrote her 'Bad Blood' song as a diss to Perry, which Katy has responded now with 'Swish Swish' as featured on her upcoming album 'Witness.'

Perry further told Cordan, "I wish that I could turn the other cheek every single time, but I’m also not a pushover, you know? Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls (her fans). That’s so messed up!"

Who're you siding with here??
