The Weeknd Alleges Usher Copied His Style On 2012 Hit – ‘Climax’

Soon after the sky-rocketing success of his recently released studio album, The Weeknd is reflecting back at a time he believes his style of music influenced RnB mega-seller – Usher’s sound.

In a recent interview with Variety, the singer-songwriter dished on his former beef with the ‘Caught Up’ singer.

The Weeknd stated that he believed Usher stole the sound on his 2012 released ‘Climax’ from the former’s 2011 mixtape ‘House of Balloons.’

Here’s what he’s quoted telling the publication:

“I heard ‘Climax,’ that [2012] Usher song, and was like, ‘Holy f—, that’s a Weeknd song.’ It was very flattering, and I knew I was doing something right, but I also got angry. But the older I got, I realized it’s a good thing,” said Abel.
