Did Mariah Carey Lip-Sync Her Famous 2006 Grammy Medley Performance? We'll Let You Decide

Mariah Carey is one of the most celebrated singers of all time. And while the singer and songwriter has created some of the biggest hits of the 90's and in the first half of 2000's and has lately also garnered the reputation of being 'Queen Of Christmas', with her song 'All I Want For Christmas' topping the Billboard charts every year around Christmas, she has still had her fair share of critics.

One such critique has often questioned the diva's ability to perform live.

Carey has often been accused of lip syncing her live performances, even some famous televised performances for which she garnered acclaim from her fans.

One such performance that has been the subject of discussion lately is her 2006 Grammy medley performance in which the songstress took two of her hit cuts from the album 'Emancipation of Mimi'.

Carey performed We Belong Together and Fly Like A Bird during the medley performance and many later claimed that part of that performance - particularly all the difficult high notes were seemingly lip synced, while the rest of it was live. This 'semi-lip-sync' allowed her to be safe in her case voice failed her during live TV, while tackling the difficult parts of the songs.

Many pointed out that it was obvious due to the sudden change of tone in her 'live parts' vs the parts she allegedly 'lip synced'.

We let you be the judge and decide on your own.
