Comedian Charlie Murphy dead at 57

Charlie Murphy, known for his stand-up acts and his appearance on the 'Chappelle's Show' has passed away at the age of 57 after batteling with Leakemia, as confirmed by his manager.

The elder brother of actor Eddie Murphy is said to have died on Wednesday morning in a NYC hospital.

He was presently going through Chemotherapy and was constantly in touch with his family.

Charlie is also credited to co-writing some of Eddie Murphy's movies, like 'Vampire in Brooklyn' and 'Norbit'

Charlie is survived by 3 children in his immediate family, as his wife had also died from cervical cancer in the year 2009.
