Calvin Harris announces collab with Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, John Legend and more for New Album

Scottish DJ and music producer Calvin Harris is set to collaborate with a vast number of A-listers for his upcoming studio project.

The 33 year old record producer, made the official announcement regarding the release of his fifth studio album, ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1’ on Tuesday, May 9.

Calvin previously made a couple of announcements regarding the collaborations with Migos, Frank Ocean and Dua Lipa in the past two to three months, but a studio album had not been announced yet. Harris also released his collab with Young Thug, Ariana Grande and Pharrell Williams, entitled ‘Heatstroke’ on 31st March, which increased the anticipation of an upcoming studio album even more.

Calvin made the announcement of the album on his official Instagram handle in a video teasing fans with the names of all the featured artists and captioned with “ALBUM COMING JUNE 30”

Between Pop divas Ariana Grande and Katy Perry and hip-hop sensations Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg, Calvin has also managed to include names like Pharrell Williams and John Legend for the project.

Calvin’s last studio album ‘Motion’ was released 3 years ago in 2014 and peaked at #5 on the Billboad Top 200 albums charts and included smash-hits like ‘Summer’ and ‘Blame.’

‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1’ is set for a release on 30 June 2017.
