Fergie out of Black Eyed Peas? Fellow members slam her for quitting label

Fergie has reportedly ventured out of her longtime label Interscope and has started her own imprint with BMG. The 42 year old singer was not happy about the non-release of her sophomore album, ‘Double Duchess,’ and hence ditched her label to start things over on her own. This apparently has upsetted her fellow-members from The Black-Eyed Peas – as was noticed through immediate indirect shade thrown by other members of the group on Twitter.

It is not clear yet, whether changes in her label will effect her solo projects only or if her partnership with the will.i.am led multi-platinum selling group will also be effected.Going by recent posts from will and Taboo, there seems to be a lot of drama going on behind the curtains. Soon after Fergie’s announcement, will shared an old picture of the group from the time Fergie had not been associated with it. Captioned, “Hear no evil See no evil Speak no evil”, the picture only featured the original trio – Taboo, Apl.de.ap. and will.i.am.

Later, Taboo reportedly also unfollowed the singer on Twitter.

Black Eyed Peas’ is one of the best selling groups of all time – with sales of over 75 million records worldwide, and Fergie’s addition to the group starting from their 2003 released third studio album, ‘Elephunk’ has a lot to do with it.

So, as per the signs left by will.i.am and Taboo, if Fergie is really out of the group (which we hope is not true!) – is The Black Eyed Peas going back to being a trio again?
