Entitled ‘Red Nose Day Actually’, the short venture will be airing on NBC on the 25th of May and has already been showcased in the UK on March 24 as part of the Biennial Red Nose Day – a television event organized by British charity, ‘Comic Relief.’
The 15 minute sequel saw most of the original cast reunite, as they began shooting earlier this year in February. Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy, Andrew Lincoln, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Marcus Brigstocke and Rowan Atkinson, will all be seen in the short revival of the original story, along with a special appearance from actress Laura Linney whose part was shot and added especially for the US broadcast of the film after it had already aired in the UK.
The mini-trailer released by Universal Pictures is sure to make you feel nostalgic about the ‘feel-good’ first part, which was released almost 14 years ago with an ensemble cast filled with some of the brightest British actors. ‘Love Actually’ grossed over $247 million worldwide on a budget of $45 million.
