The Queen of RnB/Hip-Hop dropped a hot new music video for a remixed version of “Love Yourself” featuring ASAP Rocky. It is the third single from her thirteenth studio album, entitled ‘Strength of a Woman.’
The original version was released with a lyrics video on March 30th, featuring guest vocals from rapper-producer, Kanye West peaking inside the Top 40 of US R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay.
Blige has manged to produce a tune that is on par with her previous chart-toppers and gives you reminisce of her greatest jams from the early 2000’s, as she preaches everyone to love themselves in this inspirational and uplifting, slick AF track, singing, “You gotta stay open, and don’t be foolish, ‘Cause everybody don’t mean you well, You gotta love yourself, You gotta love yourself, Before you love somebody else.”

This song has an extra meaning now, with her messy and very public divorce proceedings with husband Kendu Isaacs – who she was recently ordered to pay a monthly sum of $30,000 in temporary spousal support – following her separation with Isaacs, which sources claimed was due to his affair with Mary’s best friend.
‘Strength Of A Woman’ is turning out to be yet again a very personal message-driven album by Mary – and the fact that she hasn’t lost her edge ‘one-bit’ after all these years, makes her a great contender for awards season next year.
