Caught On Tape: Acrobat falls to death during Green Day show in Spain

Green Day’s recent show at a music fest in Spain was struck with tragedy, when an acrobat fell to his death during his stint, before the group took the stage.

Pedro Aunion Monroy, was performing a visual stunt at a cage placed almost 100 feet above the ground, in tribute to Prince, when things went left and the crowd suddenly witnessed the 42 year old acrobat falling to his death right in front of them.

Monroy, a resident of Brighton, UK, was performing his tribute in-between sets of Alt-J and Green Day at an illuminated cage up in the air – when the unfortunate incident occurred as witnessed and captured by a crowd of 35,000 people.

Although, Green Day was criticized for continuing to play their gig despite the tragedy, the band later clarified that they were not aware of the mishappening when they proceeded with the show.
