Jay Z performed a special tribute song for Chester Bennington during his V festival show on Saturday.

The rap mogul asked the crowd to raise it up before proceeding to performing ‘Numb’ – a top 20 hit by Linkin Park, from their 2003 released album, ‘Meteora’. The band re-did the song with Jay a year later, so it only makes sense why the rapper chose to perform this particular song.

“Please make some noise so he can hear you all the way in heaven tonight,” he said. “Can you guys light it up tonight for Chester?”

The Linkin Park frontman was found dead at his home in Calafornia on July 20, 2017. His death was later ruled out as ‘suicide by hanging.’

Check out a rough footage of the performance below:

Apart from his tribute to Bennington, Jay also performed a number of songs from his new album, ‘4:44’ – including, ‘The Story of O.J.’, ‘Family Feud’ and ‘Kill Jay Z’, in his first full length show of the year.
