The latest fad of creating unauthorized and not-so-well researched medium-budget television documentaries on Hollywood celebs, reached over to cover the short-life of Whitney Houston’s late daughter – Bobbi Kristina Brown, as TV One, a few months ago, announced a television special detailing the alleged personal turmoils of the troubled youngster.
But soon after the network released the first trailer of the biopic, it was deemed exploitative by the late aspiring singer’s father, Bobby Brown – who went ahead and filed a suit against the network – primarily due to his own disapproval of being projected negatively in the story.
Brown, was apparently not happy of being portrayed as emotionally abusive and violent towards, Whitney Houston and un-affectionate towards his daughter – citing no less than $1 million in damages.
Now, joining hands with the controversial RnB singer, Bobbi Kristina’s estate has also taken a legal stand against TV One’s unauthorized bio, claiming that it violates her right to privacy.
Kristina’s estate along with Brown now demand a sum of $2 million in damages and also seek to ban the airing of the film from a judge.
Bobbi Kristina is slated to premiere on October 8 on TV One.
