Although Cardi B is being congratulated by industry peers for creating history with ‘Bodak Yellow’ – as the song topped this weeks Billboard charts, marking the first time in 19 years a solo record by female rapper did so, rapper Azealia Banks is not so much happy with the feat.

As you may already know, Azealia has consistently managed to stay in news for her no-hold-barred tweets that have landed her in several controversies before. The 26 year old went after Cardi this time as she expressed her dislike of her rising success.

Banks is apparently not happy Cardi made it to #1 before her or Nicki Minaj, or other female rappers of color did. In a series of tweets filled with some major disses, Banks said that black men are “too hype about this Latina girl” (addressing Cardi) and that they should have helped her or Nicki grab a #1 before Cardi or Iggy Azalea.

“I’m sorry. Black industry men are too hype for this Latina girl I’ve never seen them jump like this for remy or nicki,” she tweeted. “Spinning this ‘for the culture’ story when they are simply letting white men at Atlantic buy them into hating their own women.”

When one of her followers tried to tell her that Cardi B happens to be black, Azalea said. “She’s only black when black want to include themselves in a success story.”

“I wanted spicy Latina and she gave me poor mans nicki,” she further added.

“Charlemagne and black men in hiphop should have gotten me, remy AND nicki a number one before they gave cardi or iggy one,” she said.

Interestingly, Cardi, who’s making the most of this moment has been congratulated by almost every one in Hip-Hop, including Nicki Minaj herself – who apparently cleared with her tweet that she holds no grudge against her.

Cardi, did however, took the time to put Banks to her place as she uploaded a small snippet of Azealia letting her hair down to ‘Bodak Yellow.’

“One of the reasons Bodak Yellow went #1! Cuz even the HATERS love it!,” she posted.
