Coming out to speak on the subject on ‘The Talk’, the Grammy winning performer, spoke on her low points during her association with the multi-platinum selling band that established her as a household name.

Although, it isn’t the first time Williams has spoken about her past battles with depressions, it was on the show she revealed how things got so bad that she cosidered ending her life.

“When I disclosed it to our manager [Mathew Knowles] at the time, bless his heart, he was like, ‘You all just signed a multi-million dollar deal. You’re about to go on tour. What do you have to be depressed about?’” she recalled.

Williams revealed that, although she did continue working on the band, her mental health later reached a point when she ‘wanted out.’

“Depression doesn’t mean lazy. Self-harm doesn’t mean you want attention. It’s not any of that,” the singer said.
