Is Lana Del Rey’s 2012 released song ‘Cola’ about Harvey Weinstein?

In the wake of the movie mogul’s scandal, several people online are wondering if the eerie similarities between the lyrical depiction of Del Rey’s love for ‘older men’ in her song and the rising number of claims alleging Hollywood being full of sexual predators – have a hidden story behind.

“I gots a taste for men who are older / It’s always been, so it’s no surprise. Harvey’s in the sky with diamonds and he’s making me crazy” -she sings in the track.

Upon further findings, it was noted that the album’s digital booklet states the lyrics as ‘Ah he’s in the sky’ and NOT ‘Harvey’s in the sky.’

But you can’t deny, that is precisely how it sounds on the record.

Here it out for yourself:

After Harvey Weinstein’s bombshell scandal unfolded by a shocking tell-all, released on New York Times – that alleged the movie mogul as a long-term sexual predator with a history of forcing himself on aspiring and established actresses – several of his former female colleagues came out claiming to have been assaulted by him at different points in his career.

Even if Lana Del Rey’s lyrics to ‘Cola’ are just made-believe and don’t have anything to do with Weinstein, given the current state of affairs in Hollywood, it does freak you out a bit.

What do you think?
