Mariah Carey is set to take the stage at Dick Clark’s NYE special – AGAIN!

Mariah Carey is about to come full-circle in 2017 with her upcoming performance at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve special.

If in case you do not remember her fiasco from the previous ceremony of the annual television event – the superstar’s image took a major tumble, after a supposed “audio-glitch” (a la somebody forgetting to play her pre-recorded vocals), which left her awkwardly stranded on the stage.

The viral “mis-happening” was followed by online trolling and criticism, which was echoed in a number of her other concert performances throughout 2017.

Despite her critics and naysayers telling her to stop, the diva is ready to face the same crowd again as she announced on Instagram:

There’s no doubt about Mariah’s vocal versatility. In the course of her 27-year career, the songbird has delivered some truly iconic vocal performances in the studio. But in the recent past, the 47 year old songstress has struggled to execute her vocally-demanding ballads and uptempo’s like she once did.

Part of us believes Mariah is smart enough to decide to grace the same stage again – and this may very well mean that she has prepped her chords enough to slay us once again!

Would she find redemption before 2017 ends?
