In the wake of sexual misconduct and harassment incidents being exposed and charges being pressed against a vast number of men in Hollywood, rapper Nelly was engulfed with accusations of raping a woman, this past October.

Although prosecutors have now dropped the case due to the accuser failing to testify, the rapper isn’t done with just that.

The 43 year old MC is now determined to press charges against the female for falsely accusing him of the crime. The case was dropped by prosecutors in Washington this past week, after the woman failed to cooperate by refusing to testify.

Speaking to TMZ, Nelly’s attorney Scott Rosenblum said, “Nelly has suffered very real damage to his reputation. He has incurred economic loss and painfully has watched his family suffer. As a result Nelly is planning to proceed with litigation as the first step in restoring his reputation.”

Rosenblum further added, “This type of reckless false allegation cannot be tolerated as it is an affront to the real survivors of sexual assault.”

To the accuser’s defense, her attorney has stated that she refused to co-operate in the prosecution due to the amount of public pressure she received after making the allegations public.
