Watch: Rock Band Gets Swept Away By Indonesian Tsunami In Shocking Viral Video

Indonesia is facing the harshest side of nature, as a volcano-triggered Tsunami has taken over the country’s Sunda Strait, claiming lives of 222 people so far.

While several footage and clippings of the disaster continue to spread across social media outlets, one particular video is going viral – capturing the dramatic moment when strong waves invade a rock band’s live performance during a beach-side musical event.

The mini concert was taking place at the Tanjung Lesung beach, when the very stage on which the rock band which goes with the name – Seventeen, got swept away with powerful waves within a matter of seconds.

The viral video captures the hysteria and terror of the moment, before the footage cuts after the band members start tripping off the broken stage.

Sadly four members of the band – bassist M. Awal “Bani” Purbani, manager Oki Wijaya, guitarist Herman Sikumbang and crew member Ujang died as a result, while the band’s drummer is still said to be missing.

Riefian “Ifan” Fajarsyah – the band’s lead singer posted a tearful message on his Instagram handle, addressing the incident and notifying people of the deaths.

The tsunami is said to have been triggered by an underwater landslide after the eruption of the Anak Krakatau volcano, and has already claimed hundreds of lives.

According to reports, the death toll is only expected to rise.
